Scotts Valley Considers Plastic Bag Ban 02-06-14 07:00 av
The Scotts Valley City Council heard a plea last night from a local environmental group to ban plastic bags and impose a fee on paper bags. The group Save Our Shores for Scotts Valley made the plea during a time in the council meeting where the public usually speaks on matters without the interruption of council members. Arguments for the ban involved concerns over protecting the environment and sea life. The plea comes after every city in Santa Cruz County the County itself, has already established a ban on plastic bags.
