A Pacific Grove man was sentenced this week on two counts of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated after being accused of fatally striking two Pebble Beach women last year while driving under the influence. The conviction comes after 30-year old Stuart Elder waived his right to a preliminary hearing earlier this month. Elder is accused of killing 65-year Linda LaRone and 72-year old Sharon Daly after crashing into their 2005 Ford last April. A pretrial hearing is slated for May 7th.
