Super Bowl DUI Warning 01-30-14 12:45 av

Central Coast Superbowl fans are being warned not to drink and drive after the big game sunday.    Santa Cruz County’s Avoid the 9-Drinking Under the Influence Task Force is joining several national agencies in deploying a DUI saturation patrol on Super Bowl Sunday.   The task force reminds everyone that Fans Don’t Let Fans Drive Drunk, and suggest designating a sober driver or plan another way to get home safely before the party begins.

In addition, Triple-A of Northern California reminds people that Super Bowl Sunday is one of the deadliest drunk driving days of the year.   As a result, they will offer a free “tipsy tow” service to drivers from 6 p.m. Super Bowl Sunday February 2nd to 6 a.m. Monday February 3rd.   Call “Triple A-HELP”, ask for a tipsy tow and the service will provide a one-way ride home for the driver and their vehicle.
