A 43-year old Santa Cruz man was sentenced to 16-years to life in prison yesterday for killing his girlfriend inside their Morrissey Boulevard apartment over 3 years ago. Wensy Sanchez was convicted last May of Second-Degree Murder for the July 24th 2010 murder of Juli Entwistle. Emergency responders found Entwistle dead on the living room floor with her throat slit. Meanwhile, Sanchez’s attorney says she plans on filing an appeal for the case.
