A 26-year old Monterey County woman was convicted yesterday on fraud charges. Castroville resident Samantha King worked as a caretaker for a Pacific Grove handicapped girl for about 5 months in 2011, when the girl’s parents found unauthorized transactions on their credit card statements. King reportedly went on the parent’s computer and made online purchases using their credit card number. She faces 6 months of jail time or a $1,000 fine.
