Seaside Surveillance System 01-15-14 14:00 av

Seaside City Council members will meet tomorrow to discuss using an anonymous donation made to set up a network of police surveillance cameras used to fight crime.  The $100,000 contribution is expected to go towards buying cameras for the proposed surveillance system, which the city’s police chief, Vicki Myers and other City officials outlined last summer.   Officials say the primary purpose of the surveillance system would be to identify vehicles used in crimes, their directions of travel and possibly their drivers and passengers.
