Monterey’s Adobes Reopened 01-14-14 09:00 av

Thanks to multiple financial contributions, Monterey’s historic adobes reopened last week.  Budget cuts forced the Monterey State Historic Park adobes along with walking tours in downtown Monterey, to close in 2007.  A $60,000 donation from the Monterey State Historic Park Association, along with several other contributions from other organizations and non-profits, were able to reopen doors, and start up tours again on Friday.   The adobes will be open Friday through Sunday along with Monday holidays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at least through June 2015. Tours will consist of the Custom House and it’s Plaza, Pacific House Museum and First Brick House.
