BEN LOMOND CHILD CARE 01/11/13 1550 GE

HIGHLAND’S PARK CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER HOSTED AN OPEN HOUSE ON SATURDAY, TO INFORM COMMUNITY MEMBERS THAT IT WAS READY FOR BUSINESS. THE LONG TIME SITE WAS ORIGINALLY BUILT 35 YEARS AGO AS THE CHILDRENS CENTER OF SAN LORENZO VALLEY. IT HAD NUMEROUS OWNERS OVER THE YEARS, AND HAD RECENTLY BEEN HAVING FINANCIAL PROBLEMS. RATHER THAN SHUT DOWN, THE CENTER MERGED WITH COMMUNITY BRIDGES, A LOCAL NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO FAMILY PROGRAMS, CHANGED ITS NAME AND IS NOW UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMUNITY BRIDGES. THE CENTER WILL FOCUS ON CHILDREN 3-MONTHS OR YOUNGER…TODDLERS….AND PRESCHOOLERS.
