The cause of a deadly fire that erupted at an Aptos residence over the weekend, is still under investigation.   Crews responded to the 9700 block of Monroe Avenue at around 12:20 a.m. Saturday, to find a three story home fully engulfed in flames.   Crews say a person, who was living on the top floor didn’t make it out alive, while two other residents of the home, escaped unharmed and were outside when units arrived on scene.   Investigators do not suspect any suspicious activity at this time, and believe the blaze began in the kitchen of the top story.  Nearby homes were said to have been in danger, however the fire was contained to the one home.
