W’Ville’s High App/National Attention 12-04-13 12:00 av

A group of Watsonville High School students will be nationally recognized this week for creating an app that helps students navigate through college applications.   The app, called WHS College Mentor, will be presented to the White House Office of Science and Technology and members of congress.   The app’s interface allows college-bound students to access test dates, financial aid deadlines, and ways to write a good admission essay.    The students will also receive a $2,000 grant to further develop the app to include a video game element.
