A skunk found trapped next to a local High School, was rescued this week. Santa Cruz Wildlife emergency Services responded Wednesday morning after the skunk was found inside a narrow cement channel next to a classroom. Sources say the skunk had been there since Sunday night. Emergency services officials say they were able to get to the animal in the nick of time since skunks aren’t very good at climbing, and without shelter, would not have made it.
