A man who bit a police officer during a physical altercation this week, has been identified as the son of a local lawmaker. Salinas Councilwoman, Gloria De La Rosa called police Wednesday morning saying she wanted her son, 31-year old Aaron Reyes, arrested from her St. Michael Way home after he reportedly kicked down her bedroom door. Police say Reyes tried to bite one of the officers during the arrest, before biting a second officer. He was booked on 2 counts of battery on a police officer, one count of resisting arrest and one count of vandalism.
