 A LARGE POD OF KILLER WHALES HAS JOINED THE REST OF THE MARINE WILDLIFE THRIVING IN THE MONTEREY BAY.  A FAMILY OF ORCAS NUMBERING UP TO 19 HAS BEEN IN THE BAY SINCE THE WEEKEND CHASING SEA LIONS, THAT HAVE BEEN FEEDING ON THE UNUSUALLY LARGE SCHOOLS OF ANCHOVIES, THAT ARE THOUGHT TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS YEARS LENGTHY VISIT BY HUNDREDS OF WHALES. EXPERTS SAY THAT THE HIGH NUMBERS OF SIGHTINGS OF WHALES AND THE VISITING ORCAS IS EXTREMELY RARE AND WILDLIFE ENTHUSIAST ARE ENCOURAGED TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY.
