Officials announced this week a fire services partnership between The City of Monterey and the Monterey Peninsula Airport District. The collaboration will provide fire and emergency services to the airport beginning on January 1st. The relationship is expected to increase response times to certain areas while also improving airport coverage. The existing airport fire station will now become Station six in Monterey’s Department.
