Over a dozen sexual predators were arrested by the Monterey County Sherriff’s Department during a month long Investigation. The undercover sting operation, known as ‘Operation Mama Bear’, found 14 men who had arranged meetings online with who they thought were 14 to 16 year old girls. The men arrived at a meeting location in Salinas to find the girl was actually an undercover detective. The suspects include men 20 to 63 years of age, with most coming from the central coast, but arrests were also made in Hollister, Fresno,Sacramento and Fairfield. Most of the men have posted bail and are now out of jail.
