Capitola Fake Bills 11-04-13 13:30 av

A rash of counterfeit bills were being passed around multiple Capitola businesses last month.   Police say the fake $100 bills were found from October 5th through the 28th at six shops on 41st Avenue and Clares Street.  Clerks and business owners are being asked to exercise caution when inspecting currency, and to look for the president’s water mark on all bills made after 1996. The businesses included Togo’s, Radioshack, Trader Joes, BevMo! and August Moon Sushi Café.
