A motorcyclist was air-lifted to an area trauma center yesterday after an afternoon crash in Salinas left him in critical condition. Police say the 56-year old man was riding his 1987 Harley Sportster motorcycle on West Rossi Street westbound toward Sansome Street, when a 25-year old driver of a 2013 Hyundai made a left turn in front of him. After colliding with the Hyundai, police say the motorcyclist was launched over the vehicle. The man was found unconscious when officers arrived. The case is still under investigation.
