Some Monterey County residents are being asked to use less water, after increased outdoor usage over the weekend along with an unexpected equipment failure. Cal Am says the request to minimize water usage is expected to remain in effect at least by the end of the week. A notification will go out to Cal Am customers when they can resume normal water consumption. The General Manager for Cal Am Eric Sabolsice says the warm weather over the weekend, coupled with failure from the Paralta Well in Seaside, is attributing to the request. In the meantime, customers are being asked to redouble their conservation efforts.
