A King City man was arrested on stolen vehicle charges yesterday. Monterey County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop at 9:42 p.m. in the area of Division and First Streets in King City. Deputies say the driver of the vehicle, 43-year old Stephen Mazar was on probation with a search and seizure waiver. Upon searching the man’s car, deputies found the vehicle identification number on the dashboard was removed and located two different VIN numbers under the car’s hood. Deputies determined the car was stolen, and arrested Mazar.
