THREE VINTAGE CARS WERE REPORTED STOLEN OVER THE WEEKEND DURING CLASSIC CAR WEEK IN MONTEREY.   TWO OF THE CARS, A WHITE 1961 IMPALA CONVERTIBLE AND A 1957 CREAM COLORED BEL-AIR WERE REPORTED MISSING FROM THE DEL MONTE GOLF COURSE AT THE HYATT REGENCY MONTEREY HOTEL.  THE IMPALA WAS SAID TO HAVE BEEN REPORTED STOLEN SATURDAY NIGHT WHILE THE BEL-AIR WAS FOUND MISSING SUNDAY.   MEANWHILE, A RED 1961 CHEVROLET IMPALA CONVERTIBLE, WITH IDAHO PLATES, WAS REPORTED STOLEN FROM A FISHERMAN’S WHARF PARKING LOT AFTER BEING ON DISPLAY AT AN AUCTION FRIDAY NIGHT. THE CARS WERE PART OF 750 VEHICLES PUT UP FOR AUCTION. OFFICIALS SAY THE THEFTS ARE THE FIRST TO OCCUR DURING THE ANNUAL CAR EVENT.
