A Scotts Valley man who is a suspect in a 2012 homicide investigation has been sentenced to jail.
50-year-old Colin Sean Tisdale was sentenced to 9 years in jail Tuesday. In August of last year during a traffic stop, he was found to be in possession of 200Methadone pills.
Eight hours before the traffic stop, the body of 28-year-old Jeffery Smith was found shot to death in his driveway on Nicasio Way.
Authorities did not release any other information about the murder investigation and declined to state if Tisdale would be charged with the murder.
