the 12th annual surftech jay race was held on the water in capitola village on saturday. the multi- division and sports event got off to a late start due to fog. there were 329 registered participants, including legendary names from the past and present surfing scene. the main events were a 2 and a 12 mile paddle board race that which featured both stand-up and prone classes.
