A black bear that wandered into seaside last monday may be an indication of a healthy wildlife population. the bear made its way into town through laguna grande park. local police agencies tried to contain the bear until fish and game or the s-p-c-a could arrive on the scene, but after the bear made its way into a backyard of a heavily populate residential neighborhood, police had to put the animal down. experts say the 3 year old bear was most likely foraging and looking to stakeout property of its own.
