A SALINAS BUSINESS OWNER WAS SLATED TO GO ON TRIAL IN MONTEREY COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT TODAY.    43-YEAR-OLD ROBERT DeLEON FACES ATTEMPTED MURDER AND ASSAULT CHARGES, STEMMING FROM A 2012 BEATING, THAT LEFT 55-YEAR-OLD RAMON ANDERSON (A HOMELESS MAN) IN A COMA.     DeLEON IS ONE OF THE OWNERS OF A LOCAL  RESTAURANT ANDERSON FREQUENTLY LOITERED IN FRONT OF.    IF CONVICTED,  DeLEON COULD FACE BETWEEN NINE AND FOURTEEN YEARS IN THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS.
