An intoxicated woman was arrested yesterday after causing a 5 car pileup in the Live Oak area of Santa Cruz. At 2:40pm 49-year-old Karen Holthus was driving west on Capitola Road when she crashed her minivan. Four other cars crashed as the result. One man was transported to Dominican Hospital with cuts on his head. The other three received no injuries. Holthus was arrested after police discovered she was under the influence of drugs. The exact cause of the crash is under investigation.
