THE 62-YEAR-OLD SURFER ACCUSED OF SCRATCHING PAINT OFF A PADDLEBOARDER’S TRUCK IN PLEASURE POINT PLEADED NOT GUILTY TUESDAY.    DONALD WARREN DARST HAS BEEN ORDERED BACK TO COURT APRIL 16th TO SET A HEARING DATE FOR THE VANDALISM.    TO AVOID A CONFLICT OF INTEREST DUE TO THE PICKUP BELONGING TO SANTA CRUZ COUNTY PROSECUTOR STEVE DROTTAR, THE CASE WILL BE HANDLED BY THE STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL’S OFFICE. DARST COULD FACE UP TO THREE YEARS IN PRISON IF CONVICTED.
