seaside police arrested a known gang member following an early saturday morning shooting incident. 19 year old yordi rolando hernandez was taken into custody after leading police on a car chase. the incident began about 2:30 a-m, when officers on PATROL near the 12 hundred block of san pablo avenue, heard gunshots at and spotted a vehicle leaving the AREA the shots came from. the officers pulled behind the car, and the passenger jumped out and fled on foot. police stayed in PURSUIT of the vehicle and finally stopped it south of carmel and arrested hernandez the incident remains under investigation.
