BURNED CAR INVESTIGATION 3/19/13 4:00p DMF

A BURNED CAR THAT MAY BE CONNECTED TO FRIDAY NIGHT’S HOMICIDE INVOLVING A SPECIAL NEEDS STUDENT IS BEING LOOKED AT BY AN ARSON INVESTIGATOR.    THE CAR WAS FOUND ENGULFED IN FLAMES NEAR HIGHWAY 101 AND TEAGUE AVENUE AND IS BEING INVESTIGATED TO DETERMINE IF THERE’S ANY EVIDENCE FOR USE IN THE HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION.     18-YEAR-OLD MATHEW TORRES WAS SHOT WHILE SHIELDING HIS SISTER FROM GUNFIRE ON PEARL STREET. HIS FAMILY IS HOLDING SERVICES FOR HIM FRIDAY MARCH 22nd FROM 10 A-M TO NOON AT ST. JOHN’S CHURCH IN KING CITY.
