A man whose pit bull killed another dog in july will not face charges. santa clara county prosecutors determined that there was not enough evidence to move forward with a prosecution. Authorities would have had to prove that the owner knew that the pitbull had violent tendencies, but the man had just bought the dog a day before the july 12th attack. That attack in Gilroy resulted in the death of a dachshund. The man will issued a 100 dollar citation for not providing contact information to the dauchshund’s owner.
