a strong armed robbery was reported in watsonville on saturday, but nobody was injured. just before 10 p.m., a man was washing his car at a carwash on the 15-hundred block of freedom boulevard, when he was approached by a man in his 20s. the suspect first offered to sell the man a stereo, but when he declined, the suspect pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and demanded the victim’s wallet. He fled in a vehicle described as a silver or gray nissan 4-door sedan (from the early-to-mid 2000s). anyone with information about the vehicle is encouraged to contact the watsonville police department.
