Prosecutors in santa cruz county court named a suspect today in the shooting death of a soquel man. 49-year-old colin sean tinsdale was in court to be arraigned for an unrelated drug-possession charge, when prosecutors with the santa cruz county District attorney’s office announced that tinsdale was suspected of murdering 28-year-old Jeffery smith. Smith was found dead in his nicasio way driveway on august 16th. despite the accusation, Tinsdale’s bail was lowered during the hearing, to 250-thousand dollars (from 1-million). He is set to return to court September 18th.
