A 22-year-old man was shot in salinas tuesday evening, in what police believe was a gang motivated incident. the victim was struck in the lower back and on the finger, as he was standing on the 2-hundred block of soledad street. the victim’s friend drove him to a local hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. salinas police officers did not locate the shooter following the 7:20 p.m. incident. anyone with information about the shooting is encouraged to contact local authorities.
