Monterey city planning commissioners are considering imposing stricter measures on a local bar. At their meeting today, commissioners are scheduled to discuss requiring the luxe sports bar and lounge to reduce its hours, hire more security, and install closed-circuit cameras. in a preliminary report, planning commission Staffers have urged the planning commission to impose the new measures, saying there have been numerous violent incidents and citizen complaints about the east franklin street bar. A 6-month review period would also be implemented. (to monitor the number of arrests at the bar).
