The monterey peninsula taxpayers association is taking up the cause of customers in the monterey peninsula water management district. more than 10-thousand customers filed letters of opposition to a fee increase, however hat was not enough to stop the water district’s board from implementing the rate-hike. The monterey peninsula taxpayers association wants the matter put to a public vote. July 27th is the deadline to collect the required signatures to put the matter on the November ballot. In the meantime, the fee increase is being implemented.
