2-people were arrested Tuesday after allegedly stealing purses from a store in carmel. The early–morning burglary occurred just before 1 a.m. carmel police officers and monterey couty sheriff’s deputies responded to the incident, and sheriff’s deputies wound up in a high speed chase with the suspects. The men were apprehended after their vehicle got stuck in a ditch near molera road. 21-year-old Gabriel ornelas and 23-year-old martin perez were booked into monterey county jail on multiple charges.
