Huerta Avoiding Recall 06/12/12 AF

Greenfield mayor John Huerta may narrowly avoid a recall after a count of the votes showed a narrow 42 vote difference in his favor on Monday.     However, more than 6,000 votes remain uncounted, and with just 51.7% voting “no” in the recall, it is still too close to call.    Two other Greenfield board members were recalled by a landslide in the June 5th elections.    If Huerta is recalled, two-time former mayor Leonard Dart is prepared to take the seat.
