Salinas deputy police chief Kelly mcmillin was named chief mcmillin today. the announcement came after the selection process had been narrowed to 3 candidates. Mcmillin was the only finalist from within the salinas police department. He takes on the role that has been temporarily held by cassie mcsorely, following the retirement of louis fetherolf this past December.
