A 57-year-old salinas man who was attacked this past weekend, has died from his injuries. jose luis Garcia was last seen leaving a bar in downtown salinas Sunday at 2 a.m. nearly 2 hours later, salinas police officers were called to the 9-hundred block of north madiera avenue, where Garcia was found with head injuries. he had been assaulted and robbed of his car and wallet. garcia was airlifted to a bay area trauma center, where he remained on life-support until thursday. The case is now being treated as a murder. It marks the 10th homicide in salinas this year.
