bryan stow bill 05/18/12 0600 e.a.

a bill aiming to stop violence at sporting events has been passed by the california state assembly.  the legislation is named “the bryan stow bill”, for the santa cruz native who was severely beaten outside of dodgers stadium in march of last year.  a.b. 2464 would require sports stadiums and arenas to post a phone number for security in parking lots and in the stands.  the bill now is set to be heard by the state senate.

 

 

 

an earlier draft of the bill called for banning unruly fans from sports games for up to 5 years.
