A man convicted in a murder-for-hire plot has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Paul Garcia was sentenced thursday in a santa clara county courtroom, after judge david cena denied a motion for a new trial. Garcia was convicted in 2010 of hiring a hitman for 95-hundred dollars in 2008. Garcia orchestrated the murder of los gatos businessman mark achilli through a bouncer. The bouncer accepted a plea deal in return for testimony. The shooter, Lucio Estrada, was also sentenced (separately) to life without parole. garcia’s sentencing had been delayed several times.
