opening statements were heard yesterday in the trial of a known gang member accused of killing 18 year old wayne minten in 2005. manuel de jesus rosas was arrested in 2009 after being on the lam for a number of years. rosas faces murder charges and charges of attempted murder of minten’s friend, who was shot in the leg directly after minten was gunned down on palm avenue. testimony is set to continue today.
