the san francisco man accused of stabbing and killing a local business owner on monday afternoon was arraigned in a santa cruz county courtroom today. 43 year old charles anthony edwards III faces charges of first degree murder involved with the stabbing death of shannon kathleen collins on the 300 block of broadway. he is due back in court for a second arraignment on may 22nd. bail is currently set at 1 million dollars.
if convicted, the felony murder charge would be edwards’ 3rd felony conviction, potentially leading to 51 years to life in prison.
