A 23-year-old Mendocino man was arrested in santa cruz county on Sunday, after trying to steal a large amount of marijuana from his former neighbor. John emory haley was taken into custody near the panther ridge home at 2 a.m. the resident reported being robbed of between 20 and 40 pounds of marijuana, and also reported that he was assaulted when the suspect saw him return home. Haley was booked into santa cruz county jail for suspicion of robbery, burglary, and battery.
