A 26-year-old man was arrested in Watsonville on Wednesday for possession of a stolen gun. Alex Arturo Fernandez is a registered gang member; he was arrested after being pulled over near green valley road and hi grade lane. Officers on the santa cruz county gang task force allegedly found a loaded, stolen, semi-automatic handgun in the vehicle. Fernandez was arrested for suspicion of carrying a concealed firearm, possession of stolen property, and participation in a criminal street gang.
