PG & E managers knew about spying 04/26/12 6:15p.m. TDH

An investigation by the state public utilities commission has concluded that top managers at PG & e knew about a case of an employee spying on smart meter activists.  The finding disputes the claim by PG and E management that the employee acted alone.  The employee, William devereux, resigned in 2010 after it was revealed that he had used a fake name to join an online group of residents that were against smart meters.  The public utilities commission must now decide whether to fine PG & E.
