about 10 students at new brighton middle school were injured yesterday when a 12 year old boy sprayed pepper spray at the ground. although the students complained of watery eyes and coughing fits, none of the injured students were sent to the hospital. santa cruz police determined that the boy did not spray at any individual victim.
