A trial date has been set for a 19-year-old man accused of several crimes, including kidnapping and sexual assault. Watsonville resident octavio castenada Castillo is scheduled to go to trial in a santa cruz county courtroom on august 6th. He is accused of sexually assaulting a 28-year-old woman, before leaving her in a field near Watsonville in 2010. the case has been combined with other charges against Castillo, including the assault of a correctional officer during his detention. A status conference is scheduled for may 14th.
