Proposals are being considered this week to allow dogs at several additional santa cruz county beaches. On Monday, the general manager of the santa cruz county animal shelter presented a plan to board members to allow dogs at 20th street beach (in live oak), dolphin beach in aptos, and sunny cove beach (also in live oak). The board is set to revisit the issue in june. Allowing leashed dogs on capitola beaches is also being considered this week. Capitola city council members are set to take up the issue at their Thursday meeting.
