ucsc origami 04/09/12 0700 e.a.

a new exhibit has opened at u.c. santa cruz, that looks at the relationship between the japanese art of origami, and mathematics.  “origami: art and mathematics”, honors david huffman, a professor of information science at the university and a pioneer of computational origami, a discipline that uses mathematics and computer design to enhance origami pieces.  the free exhibit is open to the public at the eloise pickard smith library on the ucsc campus until june 16th.
