A 20-year-old man was arrested in salinas on Saturday, after leading salinas police officers on a foot chase. Just before 3 p.m., Officers on the violence suppression unit stopped art rivas for vehicle code violations. officers allegedly found a loaded handgun in the vehicle, at which point rivas took off running. After a yard-to-yard search, rivas was located in a backyard on the 2-hundred block of toro avenue. he was booked into monterey county jail on multiple charges, with gang enhancements.
